If not, and returning to Oakland isn’t in the cards (which will if I hit the Powerball tonight), then I hope he ends up at a place like Purdue. I think he’d be a great fit there, great coach, history of great players, good core will be returning, and it’s at least black and gold. Plus, they’ll contend for a title most likely. hahahaha, agreed. If any of us win the powerball, Trey will be wearing the Oakland black and gold next season.

He could be a diamond in the rough, or not. With high school kids, you really never know until they start playing at OU. He has some similar OU mode traits from what I'm seeing, but no other D1 offers is concerning.

Trey officially in the portal. Anywhere but MSU. (A.B.M.) I'm 100% onboard with John here, it would really suck to see him in green and white. That said, he's done everything anyone at Oakland could have asked him to do, so it's all up to him.

I wonder what the increase of DII shooters transferring to DI will be this season.
The "Jack Gohlke Effect"

I wonder what the increase of DII shooters transferring to DI will be this season. The "Jack Gohlke Effect" IUPUI is rebuilding with alot of D2 guys. Not surprising given their recent lack of success, & former D2 coach. Time will tell how that works out.

Trey is taking an official visit to Michigan this weekend according to On3.
Here is my pitch: whichever program buys Trey’s services for next year plays a road game at the O’rena next year. The game will be a huge draw for Oakland (as close to a win we get with Trey leaving), Oakland can do a #4 jersey retirement for Trey (a win for Trey), and the new school gets to help their new player get an amazing honor at a place he is adored and he adores, but which can not pay him or give him the top level treatment of a Big Ten or SEC school (kind of a win for the new school). As close to a win-win-win as we might get in this scenario.

In addition to Michigan, it looks like Trey is visiting Louisville, Arizona, and... Ohio State.
I guess there IS a worse destination for him (in my opinion) than Michigan State haha

There’s your Lampman replacement. And this one has a proven track record of good shooting and within the league.
Love me some horizon on horizon crime

If you've haven't stumbled upon yet, I created a "2024 Transfer Portal Targets/Tracker" thread in the Recruiting forum that is up to date with players that Oakland is rumored to be in contact or interested in and any players that have committed. Thought it might be necessary with all the player movement these days.

I guess there IS a worse destination for him (in my opinion) than Michigan State haha Tony Paul reported late yesterday Trey did not end up visiting Louisville. A lot of tea leaves on social media seem to indicate Trey is Ohio State bound where he would reunite with … Micah Parrish. What a world we live in. I hope he “secures the bag”.
