Kito would be Keith Benson, the monster center who graduated last year. Kito had a DNP- coaches decision last night...

Golden State got blown out. I would have thought that'd equal some extra PT for Kito, but his stat line is not promising. 1 min, 1 board total.

Warriors sign center Mickell Gladness for rest of season Read more: www.insidehoops.com/blog/?p=9583#ixzz1qvvjdoZHhis stats r better than kito's, I know there isn't a whole lot of the season left, but it wld be nice 2 see Kito on the roster longer. To me this signing makes his chances of staying longer even slimmer, but I guess time will tell. I hope Kito can finish the season out w/ them and start fresh next season somewhere where he can go to training camp, learn the system from day 1, and have a better opportunity to succeed.

Keith's NBA Summer Schedule
1. Keith has been invited and accepted the invitation to play in the mini-camp of the Cleveland Cavaliers on the day following the NBA draft on Friday, June 29th.
2. The management of the NBA Development League has created a two-day combine in Chicago to which they have invited 30 players. Keith has been invited as one of the 30. This combine will occur 2 days prior to the combine for NBA draft candidates. All of the NBA scouts will be there and the players will engage in skills drills and measurements similar to that of the draft picks. Those drills will probably be broadcast on NBA-TV or one of the ESPN's.
3. The Atlanta Hawks have invited Keith to play on their summer league team. They will play on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas from July 13-20. Those games will be broadcast on NBA-TV.

The D-League event is called the 2012 NBA D-League Mini Camp. It will be held June 4-5, 2012 at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. The Elite Mini Camp will provide players with a unique opportunity to compete with top NBA D-League talent prior to both the NBA draft and NBA Summer League and in front of NBA scouts and front office personnel.

Definitely looking forward to seeing Benson and the Hawks on Friday. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution blog reported this yesterday: •Keith “Kito” Benson is back, too. Word is he looked much the same during today’s scrimmage – timid and getting knocked around – but Benson says he’s gotten stronger and plans to have an “aggressive mindset” this time around. •Benson: “I think I have a lot better chance this year because of summer league and spending more time with the coaches. I think I have a good chance to show what I can do and show my skills for a longer period of time. Last year it was about five days.” blogs.ajc.com/hawks/2012/07/10/atlanta-hawks-camp-report-2/?cxntfid=blogs_hawksLet's hope Benson does indeed get a chance to demonstrate his skills, along with the "aggressive mindset" he talked about. If he can get at least decent numbers in significant minutes on Friday, he can then build confidence from there. He can do this.
