Congrats on back-to-back championships! We know what the feeling is like....Im jealous and miss it already!
SDSU fans got to watch more games for their team in this tournament alone than we did in the last two.

Got a lot of work to do this offseason.

Hats off to the Jacks. I watched most of the game, and TSL looked great on tv. Loud, wild fans on both sides, a packed house. It looked great. Also, it was cool having a star who the broadcasters we're actually aware of. I didn't get tired of the Wolters 'fan club' either. I wish we we're playing last night, maybe next year. Also the new floor looks alot better than the old one.

Congrats to South Dakota State on a 2nd-straight title. It's amazing what an off-season focusing on defensive deficiencies can do for a group of players, as SDSU did with this core group in the summer of 2011. Check out their end-of-year rank in Summit League play in each of last three years in offensive and defensive efficiency (points allowed per 100 possessions) Year | Off. Efficiency | Def. Efficiency | 2010-11 | 2nd | 6th | 2011-12 | 1st | 1st | 2012-13 | 1st | 3rd |
Once they got the offense rolling in 2011, they knew they couldn't get over the hump unless they became serviceable on D, and then they became down-right staunch. Really pulling for the Jacks. Hopefully they get a decent draw in Round of 64.

The Jacks will play against UofM at the Palace on Thursday. Should be a very interesting matchup between two teams that are perimeter oriented.
On a side note Valpo will face off against MSU!!

Awesome news! Hopefully any folks going affiliated with Oakland will cheer on the Jacks because they are surely going to be outnumbered by Michigan fans.

I love their tourney matchup! I think this is going to be the year for the summit league to finally get its first tourney win. I will be at the game and rooting hard for SDSU! I used to be a U of M fan but ever since they've gotten good I've grown to hate their smugness and superiority complex. Plus them taking off the schedule for good might have something to do with it. U of M makes too many mistakes and relies on the three too much, I think a well mannered SDSU team could take them down. As long as the refs don't screw over the the jacks I think they win
Also I like to see Valpo against MSU, although I don't see that one going well of them

It would take a perfect game from SDSU & major slackage on UM's part for the Jacks to win. I'm rooting for them, but thats the eay I see it.

56-71 UM over SDSU. The Jacks competed until the end of the game pretty much. They led for a few minutes in the 1st half. They we're overmatched, & I think if they had more depth, it would have helped. On another note, this shows how difficult it is to win a game in the big dance. Congrats on a great season though.

I liked their play in the first half but they looked tired in the second half. I know they play a short bench but it felt like they never subbed the entire game! I really wanted to see the upset
