Yesterday the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame announced the 2016 class, which includes Oakland's long-time swimming and diving coach Pete Hovland. The announcement came fresh off Coach Hovland leading the men’s swimming and diving program to its 38th consecutive league title and the women’s team to its 23rd straight title. This is a tremendous honor for Coach Hovland. What he has done at Oakland -- continually winning championships spanning different divisions in NCAA and different conferences within those divisions -- will never be replicated. www.goldengrizzlies.com/sports/c-swim/spec-rel/030116aac.html

So true. Incredible success over so many years. Well deserved indeed.
