Anyone notice there is a RFP to upgrade the O’rena videoboard and scoreboards? If all goes to plan, they would be installed over holiday break! Definitely would continue to enhance the game day experience.

The Agenda for the Board of Trustees notes the approval to raise funds through bond sales for upcoming projects including the long awaited Lepley renovation and Varner expansion. Does this mean these projects are almost ready for approval?

Unfortunately, I am not happy with either part of this.
The money they are wasting putting into Varner is putting a bandaid on a bullet hole. Almost all of the money is for infrastructure. Things like heating and cooling. So very little of it will actually upgrade anything for a student’s day to day experience as a part of the school of music, theater and dance. They need to build an entire new building to house what should be a budding part of the school but is hampered by it’s own lack of facilities. They will continue to lose out on talented students with this upgrade. This wasn’t the answer.
I wish they would just put the money needed into the Athletics. At least those things would be noticeable for the student athletes. This Varner upgrade sucks and is holding back athletics from doing what they need too. Nobody wins with this situation.

At least it wont be 100 in there all the time anymore
