These last 4 games may be some of the most important that the Grizz will play in quite some time. All four opponents are competing for a top 4 spot in the standings and a couple are competing for a league title so they all will be coming in ready to play. Wright State is up first and for the life of me I really want to see the Grizz beat this team especially in front of the home fans. I know the streak was broken last season but that was thanks to COVID circumstances with everyone playing back to back. Coach Nagy has had our number and it would be nice to get this win in front of hopefully a sellout crowd and keep this momentum going. The Raiders have lost two straight to Milwaukee and Northern Kentucky so they will be coming in ready to take it to OU so the Grizz need to be ready to meet the challenge.

Preliminary reports are for a good crowd tonight. Hopefully, there will be a break on the snow. Time for the players to feed on the crowd and give WSU a little payback.
The pieces are in place for Kampe and team to reach their long-elusive goals.

The pieces are in place for Kampe and team to reach their long-elusive goals. I believe the worst of the snowstorm has passed so there "shouldn't" be any issues traveling to the game tonight. Definitely want to see a good crowd for the Grizz and to also honor Kendrick Nunn's jersey hanging ceremony.

Cain hasn’t practiced all week. Ankle. Wasn’t supposed to play against Mercy but chose to anyway.

Man…what a disappointment.
I thought the officiating in the first half was very consistent…the refs let the guys play.
For some reason…they decided to change, and 8 minutes in they called twice as many fouls than they did in the first.
I don’t like to blame refs - but man there was a ton of questionable calls and no calls, specifically with basket interference. There had to be 3-4 occasions where a WSU player slapped the backboard while the ball was on the rim. I had to check the rule book on that, I can’t believe that isn’t goaltending.
WSU was totally crashing the boards - just killing us. There were many instances where I though an over the back could have been called based on the amount of contact there was, but it wasn’t called. Meanwhile, we leave space so we don’t get bad fouls, and that cost us.
As I was leave, I saw Steve Waterfield follow the reds to the ref room, I hope he gave them an earful…I know I did on my way out.

Major waste of an awesome home court advantage…first time probably since Xavier Hill Mais senior night that the Orena got loud with a roaring student section.
Wright St rebounded 53% of its misses tonight. And of course the big one at the end by Basile.
OU made 15 threes and lost.
In an awesome college basketball game, I can’t understand why our two best players just gave up when Calvin stole the ball at the end. A quick foul and maybe he misses a free throw and there is still a prayer of a chance with a few seconds. You can’t just check out there. Instead they got to dunk on us as the exclamation point. Just unacceptable and I hope there is some constructive feedback when watching the tape.
And I get home and see UDM beats NKU. Rough night.

I guess on a positive note, the honoring for Kendrick Nunn was great. Having Rawle Marshall and Scott Bittinger as part of the group welcoming him in was wonderful nod to our history. The video tributes from Sherron Dorsey-Walker and Jalen Hayes were a nice touch. I saw Nick Daniels in attendance too. Nunn walking with his son through the student section to get to his banner was really cool.
Now if only we could get #20 up there…
