Got a feeling it's gonna get ugly this year...
Jalen is likely gone based on his post on Twitter.
Micah just posted a similar tweet
Jamal going pro
That's a lot of minutes played, and I think it's gonna get uglier.
OU just can't compete with these others schools when it comes to facilities and amenities provided...oh, and NIL money.
Be prepared to no longer be shocked.

You missed the part about not competing with this coach at helm.

Take a deep breath. Om ommm
If Jalen Moore leaves it's gonna have nothing to do with the transfer portal. The only reason he can even play next year is b/c of Covid. I thought since he didn't really participate in the senior day stuff he was leaning toward a return but perhaps he changed his mind and wants to go pro. Still, all he did was an end-of-year thank you post that said nothing else.
I get why people are nervous about Parrish — but most of that nervousness is because of his similarity to Braden Norris where he was heavily under-recruited and it turns out he's really good! Again, all he did was make a year-end "thanks" post. I wouldn't read too much into it — as of now he is not in the portal and his twitter bio reads OU 24.
Much of this panic stems from how the season unraveled and speculation players will want to jump ship b/c of it. Let's not ignore how everyone on the team seemed to really enjoy each other and get along. He could have transferred last year and didn't. It's possible he ends up transferring but as of now it seems to me it's more likely he stays.

I agree on Parrish. While I'm nervous he could still leave, his post didn't add to it.
If he said "thanks for the last two years" or "thanks for everything", then you would have my attention.
I don't know him at all but he seems extremely competitive to his core. I can see it playing out 1 of 2 ways. The Braden Norris, "I've been wronged and want to win on a good team", or this is my team, they gave me a chance and I am going to make this team win".

Micah Parrish has the skills — and the opportunity — to be a 20 points and 10 rebounds per game player. This is the perfect spot for him if he wants to make a name and play pro ball. I hope he considers examples such as Rawle Marshall, Kendrick Nunn and Jamal Cain who enhanced their prospects by coming to Oakland U.
That said, we all saw him last March as he lingered on the Farmers Coliseum floor after the Horizon League championship loss to Cleveland State. Every one of these guys covets the chance to play in the NCAA tournament. I worry about him being recruited by some school with a better track record or easier path.
I think we can all agree with OUgradbob's comment: When it comes to the transfer portal, nothing should shock us.

Garry - I agree 100%...Micah has the body/talent of a pro, no doubt.
There were a lot of other guys in this program that I though had the potential to go pro, but then they transferred, and then their playing time disappeared, and then they just disappeared.
I hope that Micah stays, I really do (I dont believe he is, but i hope he reconsiders). Who knows though what kind of tampering is going on behind the scenes. Fan bases DM'ing players, telling them they should play there. NIL money is going to be a huge factor, I am sure. And yes, I will say it again, modern state of the art facilities where players can get stronger and recover faster.
I admire the fact that some of these guys are placing big bets on themselves when they leave. They need to look at those that just recently left and decide if giving up all that playing time is truly worth it though. Maybe some of them were not highly recruited, and feel the need to get wined and dined in this new age of recruiting the transfer portal. Who knows.
Facts are - you can go to the NBA playing at Oakland. You can have a tremendous overseas career playing at Oakland. You can play big time schools in big time arenas playing at Oakland.
Facilities at Oakland are a huge factor as to why some of our best players leave. I am sure they NIL money is going to be another reason why some players leave going forward. The university needs to figure out a way to keep the best talent from leaving...because when you get a mass exodus of players, and staff, it can put a huge stain on the university...not just the basketball program.

With all due respect....you guys have lost your minds. Micah Parrish is not a pro prospect...at all. Maybe he'll become one but he's not on anyone's radar. He's 6-6" 190 lbs averaged 12 points a game in a garbage conference. Other than Kampe and his snake oil can you show me anywhere that this kid is being talked up?....

I believe I recall Kampe saying scouts came to see Jamal and said who is this guy? I'm not saying he is going to the NBA or not, but from a physical perspective he is a long and versatile player who defends well and is a good three point shooter. His skillset could be looked at as a 3 and d guy.He needs to improve across the board, including his strength. He is a quality player who just completed year 2. Time will tell.

Transfer portal is here to stay - Funny how some players think that they have more talent than they do and think they will play more somewhere else? Williams went to St Louis and didn't play much (ball hog with low 3 pt %), Beck went to Miami and is still a back-up, Oladapo went to Pitt and didn't play much, list goes on. Only Norris and Maddox have worked out but they both started and got a lot of time at Oakland because they were really good, not a surprise they were successful at their new teams. Hopefully we will continue to get good transfers like Nunn, etc.
