Good find. Well now we have one answer to the big man puzzle at Oakland. Hopefully Thames can land on his feet somewhere and give some production for a team.

Did anyone else notice that there were quite a few players on this list from UMKC as well as south Dakota State? Really have to wonder where Thames will end up, since he never really showed any of us what he is capable of on the court.

good point Kingsley,
I mean I guess I'm going to have to start losing my excitement over our recruiting classes before they start playing.
It seems like we have had way too many recruits that don't pan out only after the first year. Did we just have Mckenzie leave as well, was it the year before? then there was clyde mckinney who signed but never enrolled.

Curious to see where Thames ends up, but I'm thinking a JUCO somewhere, unless he can get a Hope or Alma to pick him up.

I think we are getting a lot of recruits in the same prospect range, some will rise to the top and some will sink. All you do it get new recruits and see how they pan out.

From the outside, I'd say Kampe plays guys that practice hard. I never got the sense -- again, just from the stands -- that Thames was a Kampe-type player.

I am thinking either a JUCO or D II or III school. There is so much unknown with all of this: it could have been lack of playing time, he may have felt threatened by the new big men coming in, he maybe just doesn't want to commit to being a D-I player, and it may be personal. Hope he lands on his feet though.
