I've said it since our first game and I'm glad others are starting to see it: Larry is not a very good point guard. He takes the ball up very slow and plays with little energy. I wouldn't question his heart, but I like him so much more in a shooting role. It sucks because Reggie seems to play better in a shooting role too. Ledrick actually plays point with a lot of poise and energy, but he is kind of out-of-control at times.
I definitely think this weakness at point killed us in this game and may continue to. The last 5 minutes we could barely run a set play. I worry about this team without a solid PG.

Now here is something funny to think about that poster dantheman and I talked about. When Larry Wright is bringing the ball up the court in super slow motion, he does this thing a lot where he'll get down real low and dribble between his legs. We were saying the reason he has a turnover or two doing this every game is cause the ball gets lost in his shorts! Seriously just pay attention next time, he is down so low to the ground that the ball disappears.

Nobody is mentioning the fact that Oakland had a 14 point lead when Benson went to the bench. The sportscasters said, "Benson just went to the bench. Let's see if we can get a bunch of points while he is sitting." And they did.

Wright State beat Butler 69-64 tonight, which I guess makes our loss to the Raiders a little less painful.

Both that one and Valpo. Besides they are both HL teams who will beat up on one another night in and night out in that league. Valpo beat WSU Fri night in Dayton. Our RPI could be even higher than it is currently if we could have held on to win that game and not gotten into a shootout with Valpo.
