I'm watching live on BTN.com (I paid for a monthly pass). We should be up by more. Too many travels, Ilija misses a bunny, etc. But we'll take a lead like this on the road.

Leading at halftime, I like! Could have easily been 10 but some sloppy, sloppy play the last few minutes of the half. Very interesting so far!
also, 15 three-point attempts so far? wow!

The Oakland women just beat Illinois back at the O'Rena tonight, 62-61 in OT. Could be a good omen.

Lead could definitely be bigger but can't be upset really. Low scoring affair. Illini shooting just 31.3% - that will go up but there is a decent chance Oakland's will too (36.4). Even though the half-time rebound numbers don't show it since they're identical, we have had the far more impressive offensive rebounding showing so far. Hopefully Benson can get his this half. We also need Larry to make some of those in-the-lane baskets.
Let's see if the guys can keep this up!

Great game so far Oakland is playing good defense and keeping the crowd quiet. I really do expect Illinois to start making some of their shots and bring up their percentage but I also think Oakland can improve as well shooting.

Kito with 3 is not good. As I write this Ill. hits a 3. Those percentages will come up in the second half. Need to hold onto the ball MUCH better.
AND.....now Illinois is doing that thing that teams do. And getting the calls that big schools get.
It's so easy to be a Big Ten fan.
