Thanks for posting those, Germane, and great job of figuring out how tight of a timeline he has in picking a school. He sounds like a smart guy who on the one hand wants to play in the NBA but can also see beyond that (NW comments). How many days do ya'll think he could miss before enrolling? I seem to remember at Oakland you could add a class up until the second week or so...so maybe given those fine details, we could expect a decision within the next 10 days or so.

Kirk was in attendance in Northwestern's loss at home to MSU "They also had 6-foot-9, 227-pound redshirt freshman Donnavan Kirk in the house. Kirk, who exchanged pleasantries with fellow Detroit natives Alex Marcotullio and Davide Curletti (among others) after the game, just left the University of Miami and wants to land in the Midwest." "I’m not sure what the rules are, but Northwestern started its winter quarter today. If he’s going to be eligible to play for a team after its 2011 fall quarter/semester grades are posted, then he needs to get into a school quickly." blogs.dailyherald.com/node/5036

"According to a source, Miami transfer Donnavan Kirk likely out of the picture for Northwestern, leaving DePaul and a few more as the leaders" There are a few more tweets here: twitter.com/ESPNChiPreps

It looks like both Northwestern and Michigan may be out of the picture for Kirk, who said today "Right now, I'm looking at Depaul, Oakland, and Central Michigan." northwestern.scout.com/2/1036768.html

Man, this is looking good for Oakland.
If Kirk is watching...would you rather be an all-conference player contending for an NCAA Tournament with ample television opportunities at Oakland....or finish 13th through 17th in the Big East and have no shot at an all-conference finish and be on TV about the same amount of times. I guess the difference would be if he wants to spend his January and February road trips in Brookings, South Dakota and Fort Wayne, IN or Pittsburgh, PA and NYC.

Wow, that's a great turn of events! Kind of surprising to see Northwestern drop off his list right after visiting (says something about NU?). Honestly I can't see him picking Central over OU or Depaul (unless there is some connection to CMU I don't know), so I'd assume its either us or Depaul.
I'm so excited! What a great addition he could be, please choose OU Mr. Kirk

A tweet from Lindsey Willhite from the Daily Herald: "Two sources suggest Miami transfer Donnavan Kirk could be enrolling at #DePaul this week. A 4-star kid who's 6-9, 227. Not in stone, though."
Cross our fingers. Sleep with a picture of Kirk under the pillow (oh wait that's just creepy).
When you think about all of the other things mentioned.....he probably is guaranteed the starting job next year at PF.

Anyone know if Kirk will be at tonight's IUPUI game? Has he been to a game at the O'Rena yet? We know he was in Evanston for the Northwestern-MSU game on Monday (while NW was still in the picture). DePaul and CMU don't play home games again until next Wednesday (Jan. 12), and Kirk will likely have to make his decision before then.
