as long as they get somewhere in March the scouts will be all over Benson. Team depth will help get into the tourney. But the bottom line is, if this team gets somewhere, they will notice Kito

true. players have gone from second rounders to lottery in a couple tourney games. I think the guard play will eventually cause teams to not be able to double Kito all the time, thus making him get more touches.

Yep. There was a center named Patrick O'Bryant (I think) for Bradley the year they won a game or two in the NCAA Tournament and he ended up being a lottery pick. Guaranteed money. I think he is out of the Association this season, but he stuck around on the end of benches and wearing suits for 3-4 years.
I'm amazed Oakland won this game by so much, but maybe I shouldn't be anymore! Kudos to the supporters there as the cheers were loud and well heard on the radio.
Very thrilled for Ryan Bass tonight!

And if the team keeps playing like this for the rest of the season...that 12 seed might actually happen. 12 seed would make a huge difference compared to last year. IMHO that would push up the stock of Benson, Hudson and Hamilton!!! Just my 2 Cents. Fingers crossed for the whole team!!

If either of the two big redshirts this year can turn into anything decent, and I dont see why they wont, this team is going to be good for a long time....

Some video from the IPFW game, with a good shot of the Oakland section around the 0:30 mark.

Great find, Germane. I am so glad they have footage of the Bass dunk. That was good stuff. Can't wait for him to do that at the O.

Just made it home in the bus caravan. The Grizz Guys played clutch basketball after falling behind 47-45.
Reggie Hamilton and Ryan Bass carried the Grizz tonight ... especially when Valentine and Bader got into foul trouble.
Hamilton plays with passion and energy. And Bass showed more signs of the kind of exciting player he can be in his years here. His second-half steal and dunk rattled the Dons and their fans.
Special praise to the Grizz Gang students who made the trip on the buses. IPFW's student section was clearly no match for ours.
The Gang were on their game. Their chants were USUALLY funny and often derisive.
"This is OUR house ... This is OUR house" must have been especially hard for Dons' fans to swallow in the second half.

Concur that this team will be good for a long time into the future. They had a great recruiting class enter this year. They are here because of how last year went. This year is the beginning...pack the O'Rena, the fan base is just as important to this team's success. The players feel the support. ;D This was a very strong win for League play.

This is the first year since the roadtrip began that I haven't gone.... it's a weird feeling not being a student anymore lol. Looks like it was a huge success and that both the Grizz Gang and the Grizzlies came out in full force A huge boost for our team in both the standings and in morale..... if the momentum can continue in the Dakotas we will be dancing in March in no time at all
