Post your thoughts, reactions, etc here.
I am watching Morehead State right now. I really like this team, but at the same time I wonder if there is some mystical allotment of 13-over-4s that can happen. Even if it's far-fetched, the selfish fan in me would see all other 13s lose if it meant it might improve Oakland's chances in the cosmos.

Strong play by Princeton. Knight just made a great play to win it for Kentucky though. Good outings for the 13 seeds so far. Let's hope the others keep it up!

I saw that MSU/Louisville matchup on the TV at work and immediately thought of us (AND WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN!!!! HAD THE SELECTION COMMITTEE PUT US WITH THEM OR KENTUCKY) but those are the cards we are dealt and now we face the toughest 4 seed of the bunch who should have been highter. The good news is that we should have been as well. I still like our chances a lot but the guys have to go out there and execute on both sides of the ball.

Morehead State and Richmond winning in that pod means we'll have at least one guaranteed mid-major in the Sweet Sixteen. I'm happy about that. Two great programs to represent as well.

Butler! Matt Howard! WOW!
Just exacted a bit of mid-major revenge for Oakland last year.

What a run by Butler. Gotta love what that program has been able to do. I watched Brad Stevens press conference after last night's game, and the last question was about if Butler would ever join a bigger conference. He mentioned that was above his pay grade, but he did take a minute to defend the Horizon League. He said it's a great league with a lot of superb programs. I thought that was an interesting anecdote considering how most of us see the Horizon as such a great league, yet nationally it is still not given the respect.
Indicates to me the Summit has a large uphill battle in the fight for a sliver of relevance, and further reason why if Oakland ever gets the chance to "jump up," that it must be done.

Butler has become a program that has to be admired and even envied by mid-majors alike (including Gonzaga). If we can just accomplish a 1/4th of what they have done over the past decade I would be ecstatic. I would also make the argument that Butler is what makes the Horizon League go. There are some solid programs in that league but without Butler I would make the claim that the HL would be no better than the MAC. Just my opinion and I am sticking to it. Congrats to Butler nonetheless.

Nevermind VCU. Greater run by Butler. Going to back to back Final Fours. It's hard enough for the BCS schools to do it in consecutive seasons and now the Bulldogs have done it. Not even the media darling Gonzaga has accomplished one Final Four. Major props to Brad Stevens and Butler. Man, how the hell do they do it?!!

Amazing run by Butler, no doubt. But if VCU gets by Kansas, that means a mid-major that barely made the "final four" in its own conference (VCU finished in 4th place in the Colonial) will make the real Final Four.
