One good thing about the switch to the Horizon League is the fact that we won't have the awkward early-December league scheduling that the Summit had. Any other thoughts on how the switch will affect the schedule?

Kampe said in the video that he is going to have to let up a little on the rigorous schedule out of conference due to the increased competition in the Horizon. While I love the big money games that give us exposure and a chance for an upset, I think lowering the exhaustion level for league play will be a welcome change. I'm happy as long as he doesn't replace a game against someone big like Pitt to play Hope college

He also said it was a chance for you guys to have more home games. I'll believe that one when I see it. We struggled for years to get anyone even Division 1 into the O'Rena, we finally worked out a sweetheart deal with Tennessee to come here and we beat em on ESPNU. Who knows if we'll ever get anyone decent to come back

Who knows if we'll ever get anyone decent to come back I hear ya. Still not seeing anyone big coming to the ARC. We've got some pretty decent mids coming - New Mexico, St. Louis, and Murray State -- in fact, those are very decent, but no power conference teams that I know of. I guess it depends on what coach Kampe means. I'm actually very happy with the 3 I listed (New Mexico is delaying their return a year, but as far as I know the other two are coming), but getting someone like Marquette, Purdue, or Cincinnati (the last 3 power conference teams I can recall visiting the ARC) is always preferred. I do think as far as upgrading one's home non-conference schedule, it's not something that happens overnight. We've had a year or two in the last 6 that reminded some fans of the Mid-Con days. But I think Kampe is a pro at this and will do a good job of tailoring the schedule to the new conference.

Saw a rumor on twitter that Indiana has been added to the schedule in December.

You have to connect some dots but it looks like Oakland is one of the "mainland" teams in the Maui Invitational. Oakland's games at California and Gonzaga would be preliminary games for those two schools before they head to Maui. Big Apple Buckets has a non conference schedule tracker at nycbuckets.com/non-conference-schedule-tracker/ and they list St Francis Brooklyn as having games at Dayton and Syracuse, two more teams that are headed to Maui. They also list St Francis, Oakland, UL Lafayette, and Coastal Carolina as playing in a tournament at Coastal Carolina. Hypothetically UL Lafayette could play at Arkansas and Baylor, while Coastal Carolina could play at Minnesota. This leads me to believe that Coastal Carolina is hosting the "mainland" regional round of the Maui Invitational. Oakland, Coastal Carolina, UL Lafayette, and St Francis Brooklyn would each play two games in that portion of the tournament.
