This does sound like a good thing for the league, especially if it is balanced and actually showcases all the schools in the Summit equally. The choice of host and the producing network (Midco Sports) could lead a skeptic to think the show might turn out to be an extended infomercial for the Dakotas.

Hopefully it will be balanced coverage though.

The first installment of "Inside the Summit League" airs tomorrow (Thu.) on FCS Central at 6:30 pm ET. (It airs first on Midco Sports Network today, but I don't think most of us can get that.) Should be interesting.

Anyone else get a chance to watch the first episode? The studio segments with Tom Nieman look pretty low budget, but I guess you have to start somewhere. Neal Ruhl did a nice spot on OU women's soccer, though. And the overall focus was not skewed too much toward the Dakotas (the featured school in this episode was IPFW).
