Two Summit League teams have released their schedules in the last two weeks. Generally speaking, they're not bad. UMKC: www.umkckangaroos.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_LANG=C&&DB_OEM_ID=18300&SPID=10799&SPSID=89987Of note here is that UMKC has a home date against Iowa State. That's a fine get for the program. They also have road games at Seton Hall, Ohio State, Louisville, and Kansas State. This non-conference slate is a nice step up from last year's, which was a HUGE step up from their horrendous 2010-11 non-conference schedule. Omaha: omavs.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbballUNO struggled to get non-conference home games against Division I teams, as is expected of a fresh D-I entrant, but opening the season with a home game against a MAC school is pretty nice. They've got a nice bunch of buy-games, and I'm enthused to see that they have a date against Nebraska. The Chicago States, Bethune-Cookmans, UT-Pan Americans, and Cal State Bakersfields are going do some damage to Omaha's first-time RPI though.

Agreed that both schedules are better than what might have been expected. UMKC getting Iowa State to come to Kansas City to play is interesting. Maybe there's some connection between Matt Brown's staff and someone on Fred Hoiberg's staff.

SDSU's schedule is out: www.gojacks.com/SportSelect.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=15000&SPID=7143&SPSID=88455Non-conference games by general tiers: Alabama Minnesota New Mexico Belmont Tennessee State Montana Hofstra Marshall CSU Bakersfiled (home and away) North Dakota District of Columbia SW Minn St. Dakota State Fairly balanced, but probably one too many non-DI schools. The good thing is the lack of bona fide powers could enable SDSU to post a gaudy record and be in a similar spot as Murray State last season. But at the same time a sketchy loss here or there is grounds for no at-large consideration

IUPUI's schedule is out now: iupuijags.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbball&&tab=2Highlighted of course by participation in the Ann Arbor regional of the Preseason NIT. Perhaps next-best non-conference is a game at Butler. Those schools hadn't played each other for years, so cool to see the city game being played. Also tons of Indiana schools on their schedule. Love seeing that in-state play.
