Could the third time be a charm for Oakland and 6-6 sharpshooting guard Max Hooper? Hooper was originally recruited by Oakland when he was in high school ( source), but he ultimately went to Harvard. After a year at Harvard, he announced he was transferring, and at least one report ( source), had the two schools he was down to as St. John's and Oakland. He sat out a year at St. John's and then played a very minor role in 2013-14. Now he is transferring again. A Newsday reporter said that Hooper completed his psychology degree and would be available to play immediately under the graduate transfer rule, with two years of eligibility remaining. Hooper hasn't produced much at the college level because he really hasn't played a lot of minutes, a YouTube search of "Max Hooper" shows you lots of highlights of made three-pointers. Just what the doctor ordered for Oakland for 2014-15.... I haven't seen anything as far as what school(s) Hooper is considering, but I do wonder if Oakland has at least made a call given past attempts to sign him.

That would be great for us. I think the primary concern for next year is definitely our ability to shoot the ball.
