Alright, I know that the tennis and track teams will have a new home on the upper fields, but what about soccer? Watching construction, they are putting in turf and a press box (also adding lights according to the website). Could be an upgrade from the soccer team's current home field...
Any thoughts?
I also noticed that the club football team will still be playing their home games at the civic center. I don't understand?
BTW the upper fields are looking awesome!

Good to hear the upper fields are starting to take shape. As far as soccer goes, I believe most purists feel that it should be played on grass but I would not be surprised if a game or two gets played on the new field due to poor field conditions or to test out the game experience. I do love the hill on the lower fields and hope that the current pitch continues to be developed. Covered seating for the players and spectators along with permanent concessions and restrooms should be part of a long term plan. Recruits want to see dedicated facilities.
With the new indoor facility and upper field overhaul, I think OU is close to having what they need to REGULARLY field talent to be a top 25 program. If not, you have to look at the coaches or administration. Lets see what Jeff Konya can do!
