Great 2-0 win tonight by the men's soccer team over top-10 MSU. www.goldengrizzlies.com/sports/m-soccer/recaps/102214aaa.htmlAfter a rough start to the season, they have now won 7 straight, including a big win against Ohio State two weeks ago. The last 6 wins have been shutouts (Wes Mink has been great). Next up is Michigan on Oct. 29.

Great win for the Grizzlies!! I watched the second half on horizon tv and they looked like the more aggressive and maybe even quicker team. They hustled and deserved to win that game.
OU goalkeeper has 6 straight shutouts! That's crazy!

As i mentioned in the Ohio State thread i had my concerns in regard to Coach Pogue and where the direction of this program was going especially after the 0-5 start but he has definitely shut me up. I don't know what the staff did after the Incarnate Word game but it has been nothing short of spectacular.

On to Michigan today! If they could pull it off would that make them the best team in the state of MI?

Tough loss to Michigan. Would have been a statement win, but certainly not a terrible loss. If we can somehow win-out and get to the NCAA's, I think we can still get a respectable seed with the few recent quality wins and momentum. Of course after the way the season started, winning the HL tournament and getting to the NCAA's at any seed would still be a nice accomplishment.
