So I just watched Valpo in the NIT semis. It felt weird to do so, but I rooted for them. Their best players are really coming alive in this tournament. If they win the NIT I think there's a chance they get the preseason number 1 in the Horizon considering some of their best players are juniors. I hope to see them win the whole thing in Thursday, it would be nice to see recognition for the Horizon. Who knows, maybe we will be in the conversation for an at-large more

It would be great for the HL if they win Thursday night but personally F**K Valpo.

I'm glad the NIT final is the day after the Vegas 16 final. If we win our tournament, I want Valpo to win theirs so the narrative is how strong the top of the Horizon is. If we lose, I want Valpo to lose, because I'm petty and don't want the talk to just be about how good Valpo is.

Would be great for the Horizon to win both of these tournaments.

I'm rooting hard for Valpo, but it's a little hard to understand Valpo fans who take offense at the attention given to Kay Felder. From the Valpo board on OU's win over ETSU:
"Hay, listening to the announcers I don't understand why Felder wouldn't just go pro immediately as he is the second coming personified! I mean seriously who cares that he is playing in a virtually empty arena against a team that nobody cares about. If you believe the announcers the NBA desperately needs him. Please Kay go pro. America and the NBA can't survive without you. Really coming back to play in the Horizon league would be like Steph or Lebron playing against grammar school teams. Please don't lower yourself. Go pro or at least transfer to a power five team where you can show your superiority against the top competition next year."
Whatever Felder does in Vegas does not demean what Valpo is doing in the NIT. It would be great for the Horizon for Valpo to win the whole thing. Just hope they take it easy and enjoy their own success.

Most of them aren't bad, but their insecure, insufferable blowhards are just so loud and never shut up so it's easy to miss all the good fans.
