This definitely ranks as one of my all-time favorite home games.
I love the Valpo coach screaming for the refs to look at the play that caused his player to be ejected from the game.
Play of the game: Valpo making a push getting layup after layup to cut it to 8. Martez takes a 3, has it blocked, and the ball somehow ends in Cumberland's hands where he BURYS a 3. We were getting really tight (and by "we were" I mean "I was").

Was there a better home victory than this one this season? Georgia ranks right up there, but it's always so sweet to beat Valparaiso.
This Oakland team is playing with confidence again. Far fewer worried glances at the bench. Other than the first 3 minutes of the first half and the first 2 minutes of the second half, the guys played great ball.
Valpo no doubt will be unhappy that our guys shot 31 free throws to the Crusaders' 12.
Things I liked:
— Martez Walker played slash and dash like one of the best forwards in the Horizon. Great to see his shots fall when he takes the ball to the rim. — Brad Brechting — who always works hard — gave us an impressive 14 minutes and made moves I didn't know he had. — Nick Daniels hit 4 bombs when we needed them and was an emotional spark. — And as noted by x96lee15, Jaevin Cumberland's 3 from the corner with 8:06 to play was big time.

...I expect the Brock show to be our x factor tonight in limiting these Valpoites. OU 82 Valpo 75. Le Goo can we take a moment and appreciate how close this score prediction was?

Glad it worked out for our side and all, but Tevonn Walker didn't deserve the Flagrant 2 there. Flagrant 1, sure, but the refs overreacted to that one. I haven't watched a replay yet from my view it was obvious that tevonn walker was trying to kick martez in the peas and carrots. Looked pretty dirty to me. I got the chance to go at the last minute and i'm glad i did. What a great game to be apart of! Loved the white out just like last year, it looks awesome on TV.

If you're looking for the crotch shot, its a few seconds before the hour mark on the ESPN 3 replay.

I think they got the call wrong but it doesn't matter because he had four fouls. If you call it a common foul, which IMO is what should have been called, he fouls out anyway. So the refs decide hey this kid is out of the game no matter what so let's just eject him to show both teams who is in charge and to squash the tension. They are way worse fouls everyday in college basketball that don't get ejections.

No Adekoya for them. No Clark for us. No students for us. Statement from Valpo on Jubril... As the result of an academic matter, Valparaiso University removed Jubril Adekoya from basketball competition consistent with our requirements as an NCAA member institution. The University and the NCAA collaboratively conducted a review related to this matter. At the conclusion of the review, the University proposed suspension for half of the season; however, the NCAA decided Jubril was ineligible to play in any regular or post-season games. Valpo appealed this decision through several avenues. The appeals were unsuccessful, and we are bound by the NCAA decision. Valpo’s statements during the past months on Jubril’s status were made in a manner to protect the integrity of the University’s and NCAA’s joint investigation while respecting Jubril’s right to privacy. Jubril Adekoya has been an integral member of the Valpo basketball team, and he has helped lead the team to success. While we are disheartened at the outcome of this NCAA decision, it doesn’t change Jubril’s legacy as a champion Valparaiso University basketball player or student.

I wonder that if we were the away team that call doesnt happen? I think having ESPN2 there, with the super slow mo, gave the crowd a good view of the play. If the refs don't call that, then the crowd goes nuts.
