Yup, Horizon League is ranked in the bottom-half of all conferences at this point. Need more OOC wins!

I am quite curious to see the results of Fridays almost full slate of games. Mostly winnable games for the conference.

Didn't have the time to post all the scores but every HL team other than OU and NKU lost yesterday. I believe it is now with certainty that this league stinks. Really hope some of these teams can get their act together.

I believe it is now with certainty that this league stinks. That's an understatement. We have seven teams with below .500 records against D1 competition, all of them with fairly weak strengths of schedule; one of the teams with a winning record (Milwaukee) got blown out by a D2; and, as we all remember, both OU and NKU were terrible expansion choices that are ruining the league. We're losing all around.

I was looking at Green Bay's player stats so far this season and was surprised I didn't see Sandy Cohen's name. Cohen transferred to GB from Marquette. He was a Buzz Williams recruit who stayed at Marquette when Williams went to Virginia Tech and found himself buried on the bench after a few seasons. He transferred after a couple games last year. In Googling why Cohen wasn't playing, I learned that he will be eligible at the end of the current semester. Anyway, what surprised me most, is apparently Oakland and Green Bay were his final two schools when transferring: marquettewire.org/3961974/sports/sandy-cohen-moves-on/I don't remember seeing that anywhere before, but he was a highly regarded recruit out of HS and should make a difference for GB. He will play his first game on December 21 and we'll see him early on when we travel to GB on December 30.

Michigan 90 - Mercy 58.
Mercy suffers a worse loss to Michigan than we ever have (our biggest loss to the Wolverines was by 26 points 84-58 way back in 2003). It's a nice start to the day.
