I know somebody says this this every year, and usually they're wrong, but I guess it's my turn to be wrong. Is it just me, or should the Horizon be alot better next year?
On paper, we should be really good next year. On paper, Wright State should be even better. NKU is going to have a bit of a falloff with players they're losing, but they should still be pretty good. Youngstown State... this is hard to say... Youngstown State, on paper, has a chance to be really good. Green Bay could be good too. UIC is the king of "next season, it kicks in", but they should at least be respectable. Mercy and IUPUI should also be respectable. Cleveland State is returning everybody that matters, so they should at least be better than this year. And Milwaukee... well, they probably won't be good, but maybe Darius Roy and DeAndre Abram can get on SportsCenter a couple times.
This upcoming season could be a very good one for HL basketball.

I mentioned in another thread that the HL may be improved quite a bit next season. Certainly not at the point where it was when OU first joined but improved from the past couple seasons. I think YSU's coach may finally give that program the "jumpstart" it has been looking for. I expect Wright St and NKU to contend along with OU and Green Bay should be decent. I know they lose Sandy Cohen but I don't know of anyone else off the top of my head. We'll see what Coach "hothead" Davis can do with Mercy.
