Micah-Immanuel Parrish, 6-6 small forward committed to Oakland. Prep: Hillcrest Academy (Arizona) High School: River Rouge (Started at Lincoln High School in Ypsilanti, but finished at River Rouge). His River Rouge team lost in the MHSAA D2 Championship game at the Breslin Center in March 2019. Reportedly had an offer from Detroit Mercy while in high school, along with some non-DI offers, before going to prep school in Arizona. www.hudl.com/profile/8864276/Micah-ParrishHS Senior Year Highlights

I can't believe he didn't have any other DI offers initially out of high school other than UDM.

I recall reading a quote from Wright State’s Scott Nagy after Tanner Holden and Grant Basile entered the transfer portal where he said those were the first transfers he had from guys who generally seemed happy at Wright State. Holden ended up at OSU with an NIL deal and Basile just announced Virginia Tech.
I don’t know all the behind the scenes, of course, but Micah’s transfer seems similar to those guys, perhaps distinct from the way some other recent transfers have left Oakland. His announcement post on social media seemed genuine toward his time at Oakland, including Oakland coaches, teammates, and fanbase. He noted Coach Kampe took a chance on him when no one else did. He made the most of that chance. I really loved his demeanor and play and was excited for his future in the black and gold, but understand his decision and wish him the best.
Unlike some other guys who transferred up from OU, I think this is a great fit for Micah and expect him to do very well at SDSU.
With that said, excited to see what the next crop of OU players do with the opening created by Micah moving on.
