Interesting update from the August 20 call with Steve Waterfield; sounds like plans are well underway for a golf practice facility from private donations. He did not mention the scope, location or timeline but it might be the first infrastructure improvement we see. Goal is to have nationally competitive golf programs.

That's great and all (and I love golf) but it's time to see one for BASKETBALL!!

Not sure where the private donations are coming from for golf, but the most high profile alumni Brian Stuard has career earnings close to $10 million, so maybe that is a source. Not sure any of our basketball alums come close.

I imagine you can renovate existing facilities to complete a basic golf practice area without spending a lot of money. Plus I’m sure you can introduce technology that would provide an effective use of space and resources.
The Lepley renovation/student athlete center would certainly require significant funds. I’m still not clear how much of that project was approved during the Varner renovation package. Certainly all major infrastructure projects have been delayed for the time being.

Hopefully Kendrick gets a big deal soon and gives OU that said money
