I was in Canada and ESPN+ apparently doesn't work there ..... booooo
I was watching the score and couldn't believe we were down 4 with a minute to go and ended up winning.

All the more impressive that the Grizz pulled it out. Shows that they are learning how to win in late game situations especially when momentum is in the opposing teams favor.

Please remove this comment. There is no need for disrespectful language. [/div]
I've removed the comment, largely because I wasn't saying anything important enough to warrant offending someone. However, I'm at a loss as to why you took issue with it. Can I ask what disrespectful language I used?
[/div]
Using the name of Christ as an expletive is disrespectful.

I was hoping to hear from some of the negative people after that win. I keep reading that we are in so much trouble, yet if you were in that building, saw that crowd, felt the electric energy, one thing that came through was the excitement of the fan base. It was a high level , fun basketball game we all witnessed and more importantly, 15 minutes after the game was over the north end zone was still packed with students going crazy. I will say we needed to win and we did.

Two days later and still smiling when thinking of this game. As many others have pointed out, that was an electric college basketball game and brought back feelings of the O'rena's heydays for me. High scoring game, some dunks, big three pointers, a couple of key blocks, great student section, and even a great opposing fan base in good numbers that adds to the fuel in the building.
Others have said it, but Trey Townsend was just so big in this game. I was reminded of last season when Trey missed a point blank layup that would have won the BGSU road game. A year later, he gets the big bucket in regulation and overtime when placed in a similar situation. Growth and perserverance. Also, when Trey got the two straight blocks on Farrakhan and Bates late in the game, I noticed Courtney Scott and Rawle Marshall were sitting under the basket opposite to where Trey got the blocks and it was pretty cool to see two program legends hyped for Trey Townsend in that moment. Quintessential Oakland basketball moment.
Speaking of program legends, how cool on a night they honored men's basketball alumni that Erik Kangas was in the building and we got to see Blake Lampman hit two huge three pointers when they really mattered just like Kangas and others had done time and again in that building. I am not sure what the play is, but one of the ones Blake hit he starts under the basket and there is a screen and then he pops out to the corner for a three after well-timed pass from the point guard. Pretty sure we've seen that one many times before whether Kangas or Bader or Hooper. Blake was doing his best impression with that one and the other big corner three to tie it up in overtime. Not to mention his breakaway one-handed dunk that fired up the student section.
Finally, Kampe mentioned the standout minutes from Chris Conway and Will Shepherd in the post game. Those were so big. Part of what I have loved about this program is rooting for guys like this to grow and get better and see them blossom. That's what we've thankfully been able to see with aforementioned Townsend and Lampman. I have missed this the last few years with transfer portal activity. To see Will Shepherd knock down those four three-pointers was something else. Hopefully he can build on this and keep contributing.
Also glad not to have to play Emoni Bates again. He reminded me of a 6'10" Antoine Davis with the way he can get off his three-point shot. It was scary any time he had the ball beyond the arc.
Just an awesome afternoon in the O'rena. Hoping the guys can build on this one and make an impression in the Bahamas.
