Southfield-Lathrup Forward 6'10" 4 35 Javantae Randle Redshirt Freshman Detroit, Mich. Frederick Douglass The Grizz just simply need to find a way to win. What looked like a made for TV matchup in the off-season (still should be a great game) has turned into a game of who wants it more. Both teams have struggled out of the gate with Eastern losing a close competitive game with Michigan at the LCA to getting blown out at Bradley earlier this week. Still looking forward to seeing Rocket and Emoni bates go at it as well as seeing former OU player Yusuf Jihad but I want to see a WIN more than anything else. The Grizz are about to embark on a long road trip that will last until Christmas. Need a get a win off this homestand.

Some assorted thoughts:
1) I like the look of our rotation with Shepherd starting. I've always thought Lampman was best suited for a Vinnie Johnson-esque sixth man role, and he and Will both looked better tonight than they have in this young season.
2) This was a tough, intense game that we let get away from us late, but we gutted it out and found a way to take it back. We needed a win and we needed a win like this one.
3) I love Trey Townsend. That is all.

Im relieved that we actually pulled this one out. Anytime we blow a 19 point lead, that's not a good sign Trey played great contributing all over the floor. Lampman, Hervey, Jalen, Will, Rocket all played significant roles too. Good job guys.

Give credit where due - to Kampe and the shooters who finally showed up. Most of all, give credit to Mr. Oakland Basketball - Trey Townsend. Yes, they blew a large lead and that was almost expected. Then again, look at what happened to MSU vs Villanova. What differed this time was that they were able to hit shots AND defend in crunch time. That is relatively new for this program given the past 5+ years.
Oakland’s on again/off again performances can drive people crazy. However, with a packed house and a great victory, you can see the appeal of this program. Oakland’s fans deserved this victory as much as the players. Let’s hope this serves as a springboard into a challenging stretch moving forward.

Jesus Christ, sports, I have a heart condition! Between UofM football and now this game, I'm a little worried for myself. Can... can somebody check on me later?

Can I ask what disrespectful language I used?
