Don’t know what to really expect tonight. Just hoping the offense and defense can build upon last game and adjust as conditions warrant.

My goodness, this team's construction is something else. A perimeter-oriented team with no great shooters, made worse by Lampman's injury. Kampe subbed out a few starters and immediately the team had defensive lapses and badly airballed threes by bench players. Then the team gets in a hole and starts deviating from the game plan. Leading to huge blow out in last 6-7 minutes of the half.
Somehow, I think any success hinges on Kampe unlocking Rocket Watts offensively. I am not familiar with his prep career and what led to him being top 50 recruit, but assume it was offensive ability. Neal Ruhl keeps bringing up his adjustment struggles in comparison to Reggie Hamilton, but I just don't see it right now. Rocket is a career 26 percent three-point shooter. In this regard he reminds me more of Ledrick Eackles or Laval Lucas-Perry, streaky shooters who looked the part but never quite exploded into being a difference-maker offensively. We need that version of Rocket Watts to really help create some offensive firepower on his own when things get stagnant.

Rocket Watts never has been and never will be the shooter & scorer that Reggie Hamilton was. That's Neal regurgitating Kampe propaganda.
