Really enjoyed the post game comments the other night by Blake Lampman. He has endured quite a bit and it is great to see that he is peaking at this stage of his college career. Just need to stay healthy.
Kampe has often stated the need to just finish in the top four in the HL. While technically correct, this program needs the best finish possible. If for anything, it is a signal that this year’s approach is different and they have turned the corner. In addition, it could be the springboard to even better season next year.
Oakland is a better team than CSU and they need to prove it today.

Another great win. Keep it rolling boys. After losing a tough game to Green Bay the guy's rebounded and have won 3 straight. They are starting to really come together as a team.

They were the better team and played like it. Solid win.
Keeps them tied at the top of the league. When YSU wins tomorrow it’ll be a 3 way tie.

This O'rena winning streak is bringing back great memories of domination at home. Today's matinee timing led to a packed O'rena, other than the student section The swim team and band did a great job, but I remain surprised at the dwindling of the Grizz Gang on display this year. I've wondered if this is an impact of this cohort of students graduating/going to high school during COVID. My comment is entering "Old Man Yells At Cloud" territory, but there was a good era there where a Saturday afternoon game for a winning team was sure to get a huge Grizz Gang turn out. How about Blake Lampman. 46 of 104 (44.2%) from three since going for 26 at YSU on New Year's Eve. In that time, he's at 17.8 PPG, 3.4 APG, 3.2 RPG, 50/40/90 shooting splits, while having career-high usage, playing heavy minutes load, anchoring the defense with his knowledge and leadership. The confidence he is playing with has been a huge key to this winning streak. Just a joy to watch a five-year program guy lead this team.

I've never seen Blake take it to the rack like he did yesterday. His game is really all-around at this point. Reminds me of Brechting who became a dominate player overnight.
Maybe it's his new-found recognition for his "lord and savior jesus christ for without none of this would be possible".....................
