Just looking over the brackets and who we will be faced up against. IPFW, ORU, and NDSU on three straight nights. Now that I think about that it's going to be very tough to pick up three wins like that. Are the guys capable of doing that? I believe so and if we can run through that gauntlet the NCAA bid will be WELL deserved and personally we should be getting a 15 or maybe a 14 seed should we win it.
We may really need to put a hurtin on the Don's Sunday night to give the starters as much rest as possible for ORU the next night (or better yet here's hoping SDSU can knock them off) otherwise I'm worried that fatigue could really set in by the time we get to the finals.

Playing three straight days (barring a loss) will definitely make fatigue a challenge. But despite the fact that ORU will get a day off if they beat SDSU, the Golden Eagles also have a short bench. Everyone will be tired.
If we win the tourney, it would be a stretch for us to get better than a 15 seed. Several teams with worse RPI's would have to win upsets in their conference tourneys to bump OU up to a 14 seed. Certainly possible, though.
Right now, nothing matters as much as an opening win against IPFW.

Anybody on here making the trip to Sioux Falls? I'm actually driving, leaving early Friday morning on the short 13-hour drive.

Unfortunately, I couldn't take any vacation time during this month with two people in my dept already out so I will just have to tune in on the net and cheer the guys and gals on.

I'd love to go, DP, but somebody's got to stay behind and teach classes. In my days as a sportswriter, one of the highlights was covering the old NAIA invitational tournament in Kansas City. Small-college basketball at its best. Enjoy Sioux Falls.

Today's action for those wanting to follow along with live stats or watch live if you got the bones. Women: SDSU v. ORU (noon), OU v. UMKC (2:30) Men: NDSU v. Centenary (6:00), ORU v. SDSU (8:30) Live stats: www.thesummitleague.org/liveStats/liveStats.dbml?&SPSID=21775&SPID=1768&DB_OEM_ID=3900&LIST_SPORT_ID=Also, for our womens game, you can use the OUGrizzlies Game Tracker, which in my opinion is one of the nicest live stats interfaces around. The link is on the main page of the athletics site, called "GT."
