Pointed out that things are what they are and can understand that when the officials leave the court, whatever the decision, the game is over.
OU had a good season, got screwed in the end, but still had a good season. But some will want to wallow in the way it ended. Why? Is it going to change things, no.

Naismith - how the hell do you just "get over it" a few minutes after a miracle/nightmare shot that shouldn't have counted?? None of us want to be bad sports, but that was a CHEAP way to end the game. Tell us to "get over it" a little later.

Germaine,
Perspective is how you get over it. It's how to use bad things to motivate for your next opportunity instead of being stuck in the past.
Just like the bad fortune versus Valpo became a rock that OU lugged around for years before finally winning. You have to put the loss behind you and move on. Isn't easy but you have to start sometime.
The season is over, 2009-2010 season just began.

There may have been .1 sec left on the clock when the ball was shot but the clock then would have started after he took his second step. That is why the officials should have put a stop watch to it and then that would have shown that there is no possibility to do what he did in .9 seconds whether it be two or three steps not possible to do that in .9 seconds. So don't try to argue that the shot was legit! Go and try to take two steps and shoot a ball in .9 seconds.

Bradley fan here, (Yes, I realize that is how pretty much every BU poster has started their post; also sorry for the name...I was so hyped up that was all I could think of.) I was at the game, and even though he traveled slightly, he still managed to get that shot off. BU's been in situations like that before with heart breakers, so we know how it feels. Terrible way to end a season, but I can't really say that I'm not excited about that shot. There's a chance it could actually make ESPN Top Ten.

Sorry for the double post, but if any Oakland fans are interested in what the rest of the MVC thinks then go to ValleyTalk. You can view the forums without making an account too, which is convenient if you just want to read.

Bradley fan here - I thought that Roberts also traveled on the shot. However, given how many obvious calls the refs missed earlier that would have been fouls against Oakland, it's nice (at least for us) that the refs didn't call that. Also, there was something a little similar that happened in the Missouri Valley tournament. In the quarterfinals, Wichita State was leading by 1, and Creighton had the ball. With 1.8 seconds remaining, Booker Woodfox (a Creighton player) dribbled the ball 3 times before shooting it and made the buzzer-beating 2. However, the clock started late, so the shot didn't actually go off in time. Maybe the refs at that game were the same at this one... (video link: digitalvault.cox.net/media/guestViewEdit.jsp?mediaName=fa16-11fa9b8fae9-coxprod_gemini2&collectionName=fa14-11fa9b8fae9-coxprod_gemini2&user=jshadid&screenName=jshadid - note: clock on the left is correct game clock from the time the CU player touched the ball, right clock is actual game clock) P.S. ValleyTalk link = www.valleytalk.netP.P.S. mikeradigan - I think that the Oakland people are arguing that the clock didn't start on time after the ball was inbounded (similar to the Wichita State - Creighton MVC tournament game)

I would just like to know why the officials didnt get out a stop watch like they should have then they would have realized there was no way the clock started close to on time.

I don't have any animosity toward Bradley fans. If your guy makes a shot like that, you cheer your ass off, take the win, and move on. You tell yourself you deserved it for whatever reason.
We miss free throws down the stretch that could have sealed it, and then we lose on a shot that shouldn't have counted. No way to keep this one from hurting. I'll put it in perspective later.
