Is OU still pushing hard to get this kid? Or did we let up? He sounds like a very promising player.

Is OU still pushing hard to get this kid? Or did we let up? He sounds like a very promising player. I'm back again OU Grizz Gang. Just another update on class of 2010 player Darren Tillman out of Hillcrest high School, IL. I spoke with Darren's AAU Coach Calvin Horne, who is the father of OU transfer Reggie Hamilton, and here were his words as far as Darren's recruitment and where OU stands: " Darren's recruitment has really heated up, especially after his ALL Tournament performance at the Thanksgiving Tournament. He now has 2 offers, one from Central Connecticut State and Texas State. UNC-Wilmington, Jacksonville, Eastern Illinois, Loyola, Missouri State, North Dakota State, South Alabama, Sacramento State, Miami, as well as a few other schools have taken interest. A few High Major schools had taken interest in him, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Penn State, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee, but he pretty much knows where he would fit best. Penn State and UW- Milwaukee have started to follow him more. He's having a great season so far. His team is 20-2. He is averaging about 14ppg, 6rpg, 4assists, 3blocks. As far as the situation with Oakland, according to Coach Tungate(Jeff), Oakland is currently seeking a point guard, so Oakland is still in the mix, but dropped some with other schools being in contact more. He really likes Oakland and would love to play there in front of his family, which lives in Michigan mainly." The 6'6 Small/Power Forward reminds me personally of another Derick Nelson, but may be a little more skilled than Nelson. I'm not sure what Oakland's plans are as far as recruiting, but I would suggest that with Derick Nelson leaving this year, they will need an athletic inside-outside player, and I think Tillman could be the guy.

He signed to play with NAIA powerhouse Robert Morris in Chicago Yes, you are correct Nate. He chose them surprisingly over a number of schools, including schools he had offers from( Texas State, Central Connecticut, Wyoming, and getting late interest from Eastern Michigan. Robert Morris University(IL) is to me as good or maybe even better than some NCAA Division 1 schools. They have some guys in the pros and going to the pros.(Othyus Jefferes-Utah Jazz, Billy Rush and Robert Jones)

So he went from schools like Bradley, Northwestern, Penn State, etc. and now is playing for some crappy little no name college. Ya, sounds REAL promising.
I have always been skeptical of this kid, and this decision confirms it. What a joke.

I have always been skeptical of this kid, and this decision confirms it. What a joke. Whoa, crappy no name? I saw him play when his team went to the state finals this past season, and I sat right next to Bradley's Assistant Coach. Both games, Darren's coach had him playing like a center, in which the BU coach told me it was hard to offer him because they recruited him as a wing, not a center. The bigger schools weren't looking at him for no reason. Robert Morris being a no name, crappy? You need to do your research son. Ask Othyus Jeffers of the Utah Jazz if Robert Morris is a no name. NAIA D1 to NBA..Seriously.
