The schedule has been updated to include TV games on the road (local area/ESPN full court) as well as 13 games to be on 1130AM WDFN. From what I have been told Mario will still be doing the broadcasts (very good thing) and while FM radio is usually the clearest radio having the games on WDFN will be much better than on 1310AM. You could barely hear the games whenever the guys were on the road. I believe there will be 13-15 games total put on the radio.

Good to hear. No question that 1130 is better than 1310. And I definitely hope Mario Impemba continues to do OU games. The profile on his Fox Sports blog still notes that he calls OU games during the Tigers' off-season: community.foxsports.com/marioimpemba/blog/Mario is the true definition of a professional - well prepared, articulate, great voice. Hopefully the Grizzlies give him more to cheer for than the Tigers did down the stretch.

I think a big reason for the switch was the fact that the Pistons have left WDFN at the end of last season and switched over to 97.1 as well as 950AM. That opened up a large gap of air time which left us with a big opportunity to switch to WDFN and I am glad that they did.

This is great news! I remember last season huddling around the static filled radio last year trying to make out what they were saying on 1310 during the Oregon game. 1130 is a great move and maybe on a much more popular channel like 1130 we may gain a few bored converts .

I think the more air time we get the better for our team and better for us diehards who do try to listen to every game. I'm happy for the switch and can't wait for Mario Impemba to cover the games. He is one of my favorite local broadcasters. Tell me why Rod Allen can't join him? haha

"He's straight filthy"
"That is a special player!"
"Oh, no he didn't!!"
That player is SMOOTH!"
Oh man I love Rod Allen, pure humor in the press box.

Don't forget "that should be a crime", he would be saying that every time Kito swatted somebody. If Kangas was still around he would say that when Kangas when on a shooting streak. If you guys have some free time look up the Rod Allen drinking game
