It is inevitable that we will receive criticism and sure other teams around the league along with their fanbases will be there to criticize as well. But as the AP poll was released with Kansas and Michigan State numbers 1 and 2 respectively, I want for once people to realize our strength of schedule. U of D fans can take their high school schedule and make comments about our team. Sure Michigan and MSU fans will still think they have it so much tougher. Yes they may have a higher RPI, but they are in the BIG TEN, not the SUMMIT league. Michigan has no right to talk they wouldn't even play us. Tell me a team in the Summit with a schedule even half as strong as ours. Kampe has proven that he is here to make his players ready for the conference schedule, and once again he has done that. For once can we receive praise and recognition for what we deserve. Probably not, but one (our fans) can only hope. I'm not trying to knock other teams, but just as we give out respect that is deserved, can you guys do the same?

What criticism are you talking about, Nate? With a few exceptions, we've gotten a ton of (well-deserved) praise in the preseason.
I also like the way Kampe has scheduled. ORU usually has a tough ooc schedule as well, but most teams at our level don't come anywhere close. And everyone would like a better slate of opponents coming into the O'Rena, but we've already discussed why that is so difficult. Kampe and the staff have done a great job of building the program, and it's good to see the preseason kudos coming in.

I agree. It is all a part of the process of building a program and trying to be successful with that program year after year especially on a level that we are currently playing at. We have done a very solid job the past few years by having 3 straight winning seasons, winning 20 games for the first time in D-1 play, and playing in the League Championship game on nat'l tv for 3 of the past 5 seasons. People and other teams are starting to recognize that and if we can do very well this season with the expectations being as high as they are I think you will really see this program begin to take off by leaps and bounds.

your schedule is very, very tough and if you guys pull off some upsets it could go dividends to a decent seed in the ncaa tournament if you guys get there... nobody in the summit can hold a candle to your guys' OOC schedule
