Get used to it. There are only going to be a "few" teams in this league that will be legitimate teams season after season. The rest will be sitting right at the bottom of the standings as you see there. It's been that way and unfortunately it may keep being that way.

ya, I know. I just dont understand why they cant play harder teams like us, IUPUI, and ORU play. We have shown it can only help your RPI to play good teams.

We have shown it can only help your RPI to play good teams. bc many of our teams have a lack of talent to play the 'big boys.' So do we, as evidenced by our multiple 30 point shellackings. Year in & year out 3 teams have proven 2 be solid mid major squads ORU, IUPUI, OU. NDSU & SDSU r new, so we don't have a large body of work 2 judge from. I think they'll be competitive going forward though. In regards to the other schools at the bottom, well they r at the bottom of the Summit, 1 of the worst DI conference in the land. I don't expect them to play murderous schedules.

While our coach will never put a schedule together like you guys had this year we were supposed to play Minnesota and Gonzaga but neither game could happen due to conflicts. They will both be on the schedule next year. We do have a game with Iowa State coming up on Saturday. They aren't too bad this year. I doubt we will ever play more than three high majors in a season. Our coach is a big believer in a balanced schedule.

One more thing...not sure if this has been mentioned here but in a year or two the Summit is mandating that its members play no more than one non-DI game per season.

We played Kansas, Memphis, Syracuse, Michigan State, and Wisconsin. We balance it out by playing Alma, Rochester college, and Western Illinois and Centenary twice a year. hahaha I hope we don't somehow loose to one of them now. haha

I don't think playing non-DI members will affect your RPI. It's like the game never even happened in the math's eyes. What the Summit needs to mandate is no games against 250+ RPI teams. It's tough to know how bad a team will be years in advance, but that's the key to strengthening the league's RPI. That (or something similar) is what the MVC did when they were getting multiple at-large bids.

I like the idea of forcing our teams to play more DI schools, hopefully more of them at home. Right now the league is playing way too many non-conference road games, which are tough to win.
