According to the great UM website UMHoops, Patrick Lucas-Perry has an offer from Oakland. They covered this recently in ranking the top 10 Michigan prospects for 2011, where he ranked 9th. www.umhoops.com/2010/07/28/state-of-michigan-rankings-class-of-2011/Worth noting is I saw PLP at an Oakland game last season, indicated by his varsity jacket. Apparently the dude is smart, too, cause his other offers so far are from Harvard and Northwestern. Don't know much about his game though (and does it hurt that we know his bro got kicked off UM this month).

Good find Germane. Nice to see this in there, "Lucas-Perry reportedly told MichiganPreps.com that Boston College, Harvard, Penn and Oakland were his final choices."

That's nice, but if I we're him I'd pick Ivy League over OU, an internationally well known educational reputation. I guess I'm not gonna expect him to play @ OU.

Ivy league schools are expensive and the package they put together is not the same as most Division 1 schools. They do not give direct sports scholarships. Usually they have to pay a certain amount to go and play at an Ivy

I think the more impressive fact is that he can garner offers from Ivy League schools.

PLP apparently has it narrowed down to Oakland and Penn. From an interview with Eric Woodyard of the Flint Journal: eric32woodyard.wordpress.com/2011/02/24/interview-powers-senior-patrick-lucas-perry-is-ready-to-make-one-last-run-at-the-state-title/?like=1EW: What colleges have been aggressively pursuing you the most? PLP: I think it’s between Pennsylvania University, Harvard, Oakland, and Boston College. EW: What would you say is your top two? PLP: Penn and Oakland probably. EW: How fun would it be to play with your brother, LaVal, at Oakland? PLP: I’ve never done it before and it would be something that’s just a insurmountable, great experience all tied into one especially with Coach (Greg) Kampe there. Being a Golden Grizzlie would just be an all-around great opportunity and something that would last for a lifetime.
