Shane McCatty, who was drafted out of OU last year in the 34th round by the Washington Nationals, had a pretty decent season and was promoted from Vermont (low-A) to Hagerstown (A) in the middle of the year. His combined stats:
* 2009: 3-3, 3.78 ERA, 37 K's and 15 BB in 47.2 IP.
His dad, former Tiger Steve McCatty, has also done a pretty good job as Nationals' pitching coach (despite the disappointment over Steven Strasburg's injury).
