The vagaries of college basketball:
Ilija Milutinovic decides to leave the team. A day later, OU announces it has snagged a 6-10 forward from Kosovo.
Well, based on the video alone, Korab Imami looks like a player with ability to score inside and outside.
Is it too much to ask that he can play a little defense and rebound the ball?
No mention of him on ESPN's recruiting site.

Honestly, just saw the video posted above and I'm not sure what to make of him at this level.
Runs the floor nicely, looks like he has good floor vision.
Still, those guys are soooooo much smaller than him. His length alone was a problem, but I want him to use that frame a bit more. May not be a better coaching staff in the Summit at getting tall, lanky kids like that to use their body than this one, though.
As for his passing ability. Like how he distributes across the floor, but he's going to need a lot more sting on those passes at this level, especially into the paint. Those passes looked nice there, but if he doesn't zip those in there, they will be taken away at the Summit level.
Looks fast on the ball too from the 2nd video I just watched, offensively and defensively. When he's around the rock, he tracks his mark well on D. On offense, good movement, asserts himself against his defender for positioning. Nice release off the screen, and explodes into his move as soon as he makes the catch in the paint. I like that. Shows excellent hands. Seems very intelligent around the ball.
Interesting project kid, who hopefully can add some minutes this year. I like the range he shows, and I looooove his ability to run the floor.

he seems like a project player who will be serviceable. I guess how soon is the question. The videos are vs high school kids, but he seems like he has potential. I wish he played behind Iljia 4 a year though...
I hope Petros & Sikora surpass all my expectations, bc the post is looking kinda scary 2 me.

Hotpocket, that you? ) I agree with your assessments though. He looks pretty good in those videos, but that's why people put together these videos on youtube. I'm a bit skeptical of how much he can add early.

A 6'10" 230-pound college senior is on the market now. Garrett Green averaged 6 points and 5 boards in the SEC last year as a junior with LSU. He is taking advantage of the rule that says you can transfer and play immediately after graduating if you still have a year of eligibility. No idea what kind of school he is looking to transfer to, but I saw "experienced big man" so maybe Oakland will take a shot at securing his services for one year. www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2011/07/lsu_basketball_forward_garrett.html
