Good thoughts, Germane. Kampe put a lot of faith in our subs for a good chunk of time there in the second half of the first half. Who would have thought we'd keep this big lead without a single point from Benson and Hudson. Those two played stellar D for the few minutes they were out there, and I must agree with Germane that Ilija has played great with his opportunity.
Good guard play must continue. But we could make a few more of those three-pointers (3-14). And just hope DJ Cooper doesn't fix whatever is wrong with him right now.

Momentary scare, as Mario and Neal initially said that Benson was not participating in the layup line before the second half. But apparently he's ok.
He needs to have a huge second half and put this thing completely out of reach.

I love how we are handling the press! Significantly better than last year vs. IUPUI. I would have to disagree. They are getting very lucky at times getting the ball up the court and for some reason they keep inbounding into the corner where the trap is waiting. Must work on this. |

The terrible officiating obviously made the game ugly. But this is a good win on the road. Much more dominating performance at points than I expected. Great to see Ilija play well when given minutes.
