Nice job by your guys of punching us in the gut right out of the gate. That little run after 6-6 seemed to really affect our freshmen, and we never fully recovered after that. Looks like you're developing good depth down low -- I thought with Benson out we'd be able to make a run back into it, but it never materialized.
Credit to your team, even as the 'Cats kept battling late to cut it to single digits, Oakland kept right on motoring and never let it get too close for comfort. Serious poise on the road.
Good luck the rest of the way! Will definitely be rooting for you to knock out a couple of the big boys you guys have left on the schedule!

Good reading. I didn't hear that chant, but I definitely saw an older guy on the opposite side of the court standing up and sort of like doing the "quiet down" hands motion toward the other side of the court, lol. I feel like I heard a few kids yelling "NBA" to Benson, which was kind of funny since that alone doesn't reveal much (even though I get what they were trying to do). That's something I sort of underestimated heading into the season, but we talk a lot about Benson and the NBA stuff and Kampe does it A LOT. I don't think he can talk about Benson without saying the words NBA. Not that this is a very bad thing, it's good he champions his player. But I think it gives other teams motivation to kind of come out with a chip on their shoulder in regards to Oakland/Benson (perhaps the cause of that chipiness we saw when Benson got the technical?). That won't matter most of the time, because Benson seems to simply play his game. Can't tell you how impressed I've been with him through two games. The fouls hurt, for sure, but for a moment there last night I thought he'd end the game with 10 blocks. It will be special to watch him this season.
