Not sure I've ever seen a gym as empty as the Sears Centre was that day.

Nice. I was going to take a shot at the Convo in my post, but deleted that part out of some kind of misguided sense of pity.
Those photos are incredible because they show different angles of the gym - no one behind the basket, no one on the side.
That is one lonely Eagle sitting there. Does the guy in the Eagle suit just get to relax the whole game if there's no crowd? I feel sorry for the guy, but I guess maybe he's used to it by now....

I attended the last two games we played at the Convo and I am fairly sure there were about as many Oakland fans as Eastern ones. The place is very sterile, even if you put 8,000 in there.

I was at that EMU game! I went with biglew and another diehard OU fan because it was a close drive. To be fair, it was on winter recess and it was a few days before christmas so the entire university looked closed. We weren't even sure the game was going on by the looks of the stadium and parking lot!
Inside the stadium was actually kind of creepy. The official attendance count was like 200 but I saw one of the gates people spinning the gate on the way into the stadium to inflate the number.
One of the funniest things I've ever inside of a stadium happened when I yelled "BRICK!" during one of EMU's foul shots. I scared probably 90% of everyone in the stadium and everybody, including the players, turned and stared at me. I could see OU players on the bench cracking up laughing because it came out of nowhere.
Also the 'free pizza give-away' was given to us because there were only about 5 EMU fans in the stadium and they looked to be falling asleep and we were standing up yelling for the pizza until the cheerleaders broke down and gave us the pizza.
What a hilarious, yet sad game.

Know this game is kind of in the past now, but thought some of you would be interested in seeing the last minute of regulation of the game since most couldn't. No sound but hopefully it captures the intensity of the final minute. Click here.

Austin Peay took #19 Memphis to overtime tonight, before losing by two, 70-68.
That makes the close OT game we played with them look a little better.
