Looks like there is a possibility that senior Michael Craion will medical redshirt this season due to a nagging foot injury. He was the newcomer of the year in the league last season and a great presence for ORU. www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/blogs/post.aspx?blogid=17&entry_id=10225This reminds me of Derick Nelson in 08-09. The team was still good but needed Nelson to be great. And the frightening thing is that Craion is one of the only seniors of substance on this team. Pearson has been okay for them but he's a guard and they have a lot of depth at that position in the future. But bring Craion back and pair him with seniors in Morrison, Ken Holdman, and Kyron Stokes as well as several developing underclassman and they'll be preseason champs for sure. In my mind, this is okay. Let them do their damage in 11-12 when we're rebuilding our frontcourt, but let us do our work right now while we have this special team.

In between a bunch of other stuff tonight, watching part of the ORU game vs. Missouri.
I'm surprised by the fact that ORU looks much better without Hunter McClintock on the floor. Hunter really struggled with Mizzou's pressure. But ORU has cut Mizzou's lead from 13 to 7 with about 14 to go.

And just like that, McClintock comes back in and ORU goes down by 15. In his defense, though, Hunter has made a couple of free throws. Still time for ORU to come back.

Well, ORU could never get back in it, and it wasn't McClintock's fault. They lost to Mizzou 82-61. I guess I'm critical of McClintock because I expected a lot more from him. He is still only a freshman and a pretty nice addition for ORU.
Now, if they had Craion available things might have been different....

Watched the same game. DoMo is a player, but I was rather unimpressed with their guard play. I also don't think that Rountree and the rest of the front court will be able to handle Kito/Will.
Overall they are a tough, athletic squad, but I am not losing any sleep thinking about them.
