Big game coming up in Fort Wayne. Dons can get back into a 1st place tie with a win and OU can put a little more space between themselves and the rest of the pack with a win. Not too mention they are chasing the league record 17 consecutive win mark. Already got some headline talk with Clarkston boy Coach Fife campaigning his player (McCorkle) being better than Benson. I have not looked forward to a Summit League game like this in a long time other than some of our battles with ORU in recent years.

My son Jackson and I are looking forward to our second OUAA trip to War Memorial Coliseum for this game. Hope to see many of you on the bus or in Fort Wayne.

I'm excited for all of the students and supporters who will be making the trip to Fort Wayne. The 2008-09 trip when Kangas went off for 39 points is one of my favorite memories as a student. I'll be attempting to watch from home or listening to Mario and Neal, but safe travels to those making the voyage.
Hoping for a big night from Hudson and Benson, maybe even dual double-doubles. Hard to believe IPFW could overcome such a performance. But we'll see. Go Grizzlies.
Nice preview by B&G, as always, especially on the Dons' perimeter trends (low TO rate, low offensive rebounding numbers).
Their defensive approach to our bigs will be interesting to see tonight. If Fife really wants to back up his comments about McCorkle being "better" than Benson, he should play us straight up in the paint. But the last time they faced a dominant big (Purdue's JaJuan Johnson), Fife tried that in the beginning but had to switch to a zone in the second half to protect the paint. And Purdue buried them with good perimeter shooting, ultimately winning by 25.
Hope the OU folks traveling to Ft. Wayne are safe and loud.
He seems to think the way to address our size and rebounding advantage is to "move bodies." Last year they had a guy with a real attitude problem (Antwoine Snead) who looked like he was trying to bait some of our players, so hopefully things don't get too chippy. We can't afford to have stupid reaction plays or foul trouble.
