My opinion is a pretty solid ... meh. Agreed. Let's give Kyle S. and Corey P. a chance. Two guys who committed out of high school, went through a redshirt year, and should get a shot.

I agree with everyone else on here. Sherman has shown me NOTHING in his 2 years at state. Plus he is from Ohio I see him going to a school over there.

I didn't expect that response. Here we are looking at a very thin front line at this point. You don't think this guy is an upgrade over Ilija? You're crazy. Anyone who remembers Dave Ritzema and Jordan Sabourin will soon see a similar situation.
I saw one exhibition game with Petros/Sykora...I'm just saying you can't discount a 6'10" Big Ten guy.

He would have to sit out this year, so by the time he would be able to play Petros/Sikora would be redshirt sophomores and hopefully ready to contribute on the reg, and Ilija will be playing in Europe somewhere. That's also not counting whoever else is added to the frontcourt this summer (Anderson, Miller, or maybe a wildcard). If he could play this year it would absolutely be an improvement and much welcomed size/experience, but I'm not convinced it would be long-term. Maybe he'd be a good fit if either of the future bigs don't pan out. But again, I really want to give Petros and Sikora - and our incredible coaching/strength and condition staff - the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they'll both be duds, but I remember seeing a first-year Kito on campus when I was a freshman at the same time and not even knowing he was on the basketball team cause he was so lanky and awkward.

I coached against Sherman in HS. I think he could be a solid post in the Summit League. Not sure he'll score at any division I school but he would be a presence on the defensive end and rebound too
