Interesting. Having Eackles for a couple of season definitely helped make inroads down in Louisana.

Eek.. I don't like that he's going to be recovering either, but I guess if he's smart about the recovery that can be an okay thing. Maybe he'll hit the weight room really heavy over the next year and while he recovers from the ACL he can build that upper body strength that seems to always be lacking from young mid major bigs.

I dont see much of a problem as long as the surgery was done well. He will loose a little leg strength in the mean time while he is healing, but can definitely hit the gym and gain some muscle mass. Not quite the same as redshirting a freshman, but similar.

I'm always a little skeptical of HS players who bounce around so much. From Louisiana, then played in Houston, and now in Indiana. Hope everything's okay with his transcripts when he enters college.
As for the injury, hopefully he recovers and is at full strength a year from now.

Was at one time apparently ranked No. 110 in Rivals150, still in the system as a 3-star.
This from boyshoopscout.com:
Very long and athletic forward who is not afraid to post hard on the block. Also has the ability to shoot to the three point line. Works very hard for a young guy and does have some toughness rarely seen at his age. Is also a capable ball handler. Has all of the tools if he keeps developing to be a high major guy and possibly top 20 in his class.
Let you know if I dig up anything else guys.

Nice find, Bryan. Another "diamond in the rough" perhaps!
Seeing Zeke Marshall do so well for Akron last night on ESPNU made me realize how much I will miss watching Kito. Maybe Lewis can fill that void!

Mike Lewis will not meet academic standards, according to a Tweet from Paul Kampe. Says he will go prep school or juco route. twitter.com/#!/PaulKampe/status/199956897347022848
