That's just ridiculous and frankly unacceptable. Dude tore his acl so he really had two things to do his last year in high school. Rehab and get better, and do well in school. How do you not get your act together and do well in the classroom with an opportunity gifted to you despite an injury?

They haven't updated their roster yet for 2012-13, but according to this NJCAA.org page, Mike Lewis will be playing basketball at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College this season. So both of the OU commits who didn't qualify academically will be at jucos in the south this year.

Found it curious that no stats were available for Lewis so far at MGCCC. According to his Tweet just before the season began, "Doctor told me yesterday that i tore both my meniscus and i tore my acl again Damn." That's super rough. Torn ACL two years in a row.

Good news indeed. I'm assuming it is for this season since he has gone the prep school route.

I've been unable to find any corroborating articles on this. This is odd, especially since verbalcommits usually posts their source. Anyone have confirmation that this wasn't just a hiccup in vc's program?
