Benson logged 3:59 minutes in his first NBA regular season game with the Golden State Warriors. That was enough time for Getty to snap this great photo of him grabbing one of his two offensive rebounds.

Real nice pic. Hopefully after getting some time in the gym with the team he can get some more minutes to prove his worth and get a contract through the end of the year.

Looks like his final stat line was 4 minutes, 2 rebound, and 0/1 shooting. Not sure where the shot was from but good to hear he logged a shot! Also good to see he checked in in the first quarter, not garbage time. Tough to follow Golden State being in Michigan, but I will surely keep track of his games. Great photo!

I watched the game last night. He pulled down an offensive board and tried to put it back in off the glass. Was a pretty standard Kito leaning in shot but just no good. He pulled down the board over two Kings though. I didn't expect him to come down with it when he did.

Most of Kito's games will be on NBA League Pass. They have a nice discount at this time of the year. Also, if he gets a second and final contract, he will play twice on TNT (Shaq & Barkley, Thursdays), once on TNT on a Tuesday and 3 times on ESPN. So, everybody who can stay up late will get to see plenty of games. They are playing or traveling just about every day. If you check the roster, GS has a lot of rookies and young players compared to the Hawks who have the second oldest team behind the Celtics in the NBA. GS seems to be willing to let young players develop. One Atlanta blog announced Kito's signing by GS and commented that "The choice to cut ties with Benson looks worse for the Hawks now after losing Al Horford and seeing Jason Collins also miss 21 games with an elbow injury. Zaza Pachulia has been the team's only reliable option at center and Collins has failed to provide much of anything positive in his return from injury. Erick Dampier was signed as an insurance policy after Collins was hurt (a signing which by the way sent the team into the luxury tax) but seems to be stuck behind Collins in the rotation." www.peachtreehoops.com/2012/3/24/2899/keith-benson-nba. Hopefully, the Hawks will engage in introspection as Kito goes.

glad to see that he's back to #34... that's a very good start for him though with only playing 4 minutes. Good quality stats, hopefully he gets more confident with his shot and shows the soft touch that made him famous at OU lol

He logged another 4 min of play tonight. Didn't get to see it so can't tell ya much more about it. Team lost, but they were +8 with Kito on the floor. No other stats to go with it. Hopefully he's enjoying life and making a good impression off the court and can get that end of season contract!

The announcers said that they brought in Kito and MyKell for defense and rebounding. So, what he does might not show up in the stat sheet but will show up in the =/- column in terms of how the team is doing (winning) when he is on the floor.
