By the way, they changed the pregame hype video from "Goosebumps" to Eminem, but honestly I liked the former much better. I like the Eminem song, but it cut out really weirdly and wasn't that great. Hopefully they switch back.

I don't know who allowed tailgates to become BYOB, but I would like to sincerely thank them. Grizz Gang had a winterfest "buzz" to them tonight. Kind of fun to remember how Sh*tty the Grizz Gang was my freshman year (last year of summit) to what it's like now. Has improved leaps and bounds every year. It was a BYOB thanks entirely to OUSC. They are the ones who need to request BYOBs from higher ups in the university. It is a long process trying to actully convince people for a BYOB which is they generally don't happen too often. And the reason the bigger tailgates won't happen every game is due to funding. But one of Grizz Gang's missions this year is to utilize as much funds that are given to us. So we will be doing some smaller things throughout the year

On Thursday the Grizz Gang will have a tent set up outside the O'Rena by the bear statue before the game at 5:30. We will be giving out pizza and pop to students and Grizz Gang headbands to the first 100 students. It's not gonna be to the magnitude of our first event for the home opener, but nonetheless, free food and swag to attract students

The Grizz Gang is taking our VIP members to dirty Calihan Hall on January 20th! We are including a ticket and bus ride to and from the game. We will hopefully have even more students this year than last year inside the smelly gym on the unsafe campus of Mercy college!

Just wanted to say that you guys have done an incredible job for Grizz Gang this year, far superior to the last two years I've been here. Organizing tailgates and just overall being on top of the game is greatly appreciated.

Organizing tailgates and just overall being on top of the game is greatly appreciated. Thank you! This year's e-board has utilized funds that OU gives us to use on events like these, things at least I haven't seen in the past two years i've been here. It's a lot of work and planning but worth it to see students come to games. We appreciate all our students and supporters!

Due to OU being closed tomorrow, we can no longer have our BYOB tailgate. We still need all of our students to come show support at the game. The NoMercy shirts we made with OUSC will still be given out at the game tomorrow.

Just to wrap up the 2017-2018 season for the Grizz Gang, i'd say it was a success. I feel student attendance was more consistent than in recent years. We started our VIP program which ended up selling ~140 memberships. Tailgate events were successful (minus the snowed out one vs Detroit Mercy) and funds were taken advantage of pretty much for the first time since the fall semester of 2014. We only plan to get better next year!
E-Board applications should hopefully be out within the next month or so, so if you're interested (and an OU student) in applying be on the look out on our social media. We're looking to fill 2 spots.
If anybody has any ideas for the Grizz Gang for the 2018-2019 year, feel free to share. Your opinions and support are appreciated!
