I just realized that I posted the following meesage in the wrong thread. I meant to posit it here. I don't know about you all, but I'm hype for this game right now. I totally agree that we have to help create the atmosphere for our team. That is our obligation in the college sports fan experience. We can win this game. Our guys need to play their hearts out and they need for us to give them that extra boost. It should be like hell in there for Valpo tonight and anyone else that comes in the O'rena. This is our house! Nobody should be able to try to come in and take what's ours. I bleed gold! Heck, I piss it too! We all do. So let's make some noise and show who we really are. This is Oakland!Get the W, no exceptions. Go Black! Go Gold! Go Grizzlies! My friend, you need to drink more water! What does one do if the piss black though?

Thanks for once again doing what you do to help drive national hype to our games! I need to find my old Reddit username so I can help you from being the one and only guy on Reddit with the OU flair...unless you like it that way. Regardless, your couple of threads drove a lot of comments and attention which is awesome.

"The most talented team I've ever had" according to Kampe has a long way to go. Just got its doors blown off at home. Kito Benson's teams would never had let this happen at home

LOT of work that this team has to do.

LOT of work that this team has to do. Valpo is bigger, better and more talented. They know how to defend Felder without sending him to the FT line. Unless this team goes through a huge transformation, it has zero chance of winning the Horizon League tournament

That second half was a classic woodshed beating. We looked exhausted and shocked. Bad night in Grizzly nation

In the spirit of Wojo's "panic in Tiger Town," it's officially panic in Grizzly Town. Looking forward to Terry Foster's insider look at how lockerroom looked after tonite.

Oh boy, where do I start....
PG looks like he is out of shape, he was huffing and puffing the first half, didn't even get to half court one time. It seems to be hurting his performance. Is he sick? Battling a flu bug? Anyone have any idea? Also PG is soft, he doesn't go get the rebound, he lets the ball come to him, it drives Kampe nuts.
This team is trying to find a new identity all of a sudden. With PG lack of production recently, Brad needing to put on weight, we are suddenly without a Center. Kampe is trying to adjust on the fly by going small. Having Hayes as our center is killing us. Hayes is giving max effort and give him mad credit, but he is trying to learn the position on the fly, and was easily outmatched.
One quick look at the box score and one would think Kay had a bad shooting night...he did. But most of that was on him. Kay, honestly what were you thinking? Your shot selection was HORRENDOUS. Taking horrible 3's, off balance, not set, sprinting down the court to only jack a 3, while not giving your team a chance to get a rebound. Driving to the basket and hoping to get a foul call. Very very bad shot selection. I want to see Kay dish it more and shoot less.
Gotta give Valpo a lot of credit. Every time we tried to give the ball down low to PG and Hayes in the first half they were greeted by a double team. They play great defense, and they most definitely got in Kay's head. They are clearly the best team in the league. Props to them.

Tonight, Valpo was better. But there are still 2 more games to be played against one another. The next two will be down to the wire like almost all Valpo/Oakland games are.
The Michigan road trip is by far the most difficult.
The really bad news for Valpo fans came in July when the HL tournament was being moved to Detroit. Valpo will have to do it again.
