I'm just here to laugh at UofD or what ever they are called these days. I dont understand wanting NKU to lose. I want everyone in our league to win every game when they aren't playing us(unless Mercy is playing a DII team, then it's just funny). I dont want to play in a garbage conference. I just don't like NKU and their schedule. Play more than 2 tough teams please. They're just padding their schedule IMO and not doing their team any favors in the process.

Well, another "skunker" for the HL this weekend. Very disappointing and there isn't a lot of time left in the OOC portion of the season to turn it around. Got to start picking up some wins. Especially the supposed top teams in the league.

Youngstown St. 77
Kent St. 83
Wright St. 76
Colorado 84

Just one score in the Horizon to post. So far through December 18th the Horizon record is 52 - 64. About a week to go before league play begins so only a few more opportunities to improve on the "wins" record. Unfortunately I don't see OU helping this week unless the unthinkable happens.
Horizon Scores (12/17/18)
Incarnate Word 57
UIC 63

Unfortunately the rest of the league didn't fare too well last night with the exception of Wright State. The YSU/OSU score was much closed than the final score looks. Youngstown was leading after halftime.
HL Scores (12/18/18)
Ohio State 75
Youngstown St. 56
Purdue-Fort Wayne 87

The Horizon League is just not very good I always compare us to the MAC, but the MAC is head and shoulders above this year (and last year too). NKU would have about a 5th place team in the MAC. And our 3rd-ranked team (IUPUI) would potentially be the worst team in the MAC.

They normally don't have a #12 ranked team nationally like Buffalo. Conversely, we lost a top 100 RPI team a few years ago and are having what seems to be a league wide rebuild. For us and the MAC these trends move in cycles.

I caught the end of WSU-UIC after Oakland's game. It was a fun ending in overtime. WSU's Cole Gentry hit a huge three to tie the game in the waning seconds of overtime, only to get outdone by a UIC freshman who hit a corner three as time expired to win the game outright.
UIC must have a really short bench because one guy fouled out in overtime, and I'm pretty sure the announcers said the five guys on the court were the only ones left for UIC. More guys were in the box score, so not sure exactly what happened there. I have yet to see Dominique Matthews name in a box score. Maybe he's injured.
Big win for UIC to take one at the Nutter Center. They'd be in the early driver's seat if they swept the WSU/NKU road trip. A tall task.
